Maria has specialist expertise in policy, strategy, digital transformation, marketing and communications. She recently completed a whole of organisation transformation of Australia's global diaspora organisation, Advance.org. 

She is an Industry/Professional Fellow at UTS and sits on the Advisory Council for the Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police. Maria chairs the strategy board for the ARC Training Centre for Information Resilience (CIRES) and is a member of the Business School's Board of Advice at the University of Sydney. 

Maria is a Non-Executive Director of Spark Festival and the inaugural Convenor of the Australian Innovation Council connecting leaders of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem with each other, with government, business and the not-for-profit sector domestically and globally. She also sits on the Advisory boards of startups Idea Spies, Internet 2.0 and MIMI.
